What Your Recycled Cans and Bottles Turn Into!

February 05, 2021

One of the biggest reasons why everyone needs to pick up recycling is because of how much it helps out. Bottle and can recycling helps with the production of so many new materials, and it seems a lot of people don't know about this. The earth is suffering the consequences of our manufacturing activities, so it's only right we help out in the little ways we can.

The things that are made from recycled bottles and cans will amaze you. So, get ready to be floored because this is what your recycled bottles and cans turn into.

New bottles and cans

We know it seems pretty obvious, but it has to be said. New bottles and cans are made from recycled bottles and cans. But you shouldn't limit bottles to just bottled drinks. Milk jugs, shampoo and household cleaners’ containers can all be made from old bottles and cans.

Through bottle and can recycling, new bottles and cans can be made without going through another manufacturing process.

Furniture

Through bottle and can recycling, you can get chairs, tables and even playground equipment! As you all know, there are different types of plastics, and they all become different things when recycled. Harder plastic containers such as detergent containers are lightweight, so they make good furniture.

If more people can pick up recycling, the need for traditional wood furniture will reduce. And this will contribute to forestry efforts. The best time to pick up recycling was yesterday; the second-best time to pick it up is now.

Clothing

Plastic bottles don't only hold your favourite beverage; they can also keep you warm from the freezing cold. Recycled bottles can become shirts, sweaters, sleeping bags etc.  Plastic bottles contain fibres that can be spun to make insulators and any clothing type you can think of.

In the future, when everyone picks up bottle and can recycling, the earth will have enough time to heal.

Storage and cleaning equipment

If you've ever been hit by a bottle cork, you probably know how hard it is. Well, these hard caps come in handy when it's time to make new things.  Bottle caps are recycled and used to make brooms, storage containers, and obviously, more bottle corks.

Recycled cans are used to make metal equipment such as roofs, gutters, electrical appliances and the like. And steel cans can be used to make vehicle parts, beams etc.

With Thorntons recycling, you can be sure that your recycled bottles and cans will surely become new items.
